I am a songwriter (20+ years), and spend my days writing music and teaching my  teen...yes, we're homeschool geeks!  I have a music business:  Karen Salstrom Music...Songs in the Key of Love (www.KarenSalstrom-Music.com) where I produce original personalized songs for clients (new baby lullabies with baby's name, weddings, jingles and songs for businesses, etc.)  My music spans several genres:  Christian, Country, Patriotic, and Childrens.  I have some music for sale on Christian Originals (www.christianoriginals.com), and have a presence on www.SongU.com  Two special acknowledgements:  2011 I received the Collective Works Award from Song of the Year, and after 9/11 I recevied a personal letter from Former President George H.W. Bush for a song I'd written.  I hve been a member of Gospel Music Association, Nashville Songwriters Association, Country Music Association, am a B.M.I. associate member, and have my Christian catalog listed with C.C.L.I.  One of my published songs with Hope Publishing is doing very well in churches in the UK and Australia.  My hope is that some of what I've learned so far in the industry will help others.
